This is me and my dog, Teddy, in the field behind my house. A while ago I saw a re-run of ‘The Brady Bunch’ on tv, and they had a dog exactly like mine. Theirs was called Tiger. My dog is more of a Teddy than a Tiger, as you can see.
I work from a straw-bale studio in the middle of a big paddock (or field, if you aren’t a Kiwi) just outside Wellington, New Zealand.
I love to talk to schools, in person or via the internet, and I’m happy to be contacted by students – although sometimes it can take a little time to reply.
To read about my own childhood introduction books and stories, visit here. Or to read an interview with me at the fabulous Seven Impossible Things blog, click/tap here. For a slightly older interview at the same place, try this one.
Of course, if you just want to listen, not look, you could try this interview on Radio New Zealand National from 2018.
And for the formal lo-down, visit the New Zealand Book Council for my bio.
